Where Do I Start?
If there’s only a few teeth to discuss or a simple issue, then we can come up with a plan on the spot at your first appointment. But if your concerns are more complex or involve several teeth, we’ll do some detailed and thorough planning. First and foremost, we spend time asking you questions that allow us to understand all your concerns and the changes you’d like to make. We talk about what’s possible and what kind of time frame and budget you can expect. Much like building an addition on a house, we start with the end in mind. There’s a design part and then a building part.
If you decide you’re interested, we take several photos of your teeth and a couple impressions. We then use these to come up with a few different options to meet the goals you’ve told us are important to you. If any specialists will be involved, you’ll meet with them and we’ll finalize your plan. Once we’re all on the same page, we start the building part of treatment, and we’re with you every step of the way to make sure we achieve a great result.
How Much Will a New Smile Cost?
This is a great question, but it’s kind of like asking, "How much does a house cost?" It depends on what it’s built out of, how many bedrooms and bathrooms there are, and what kind of special features it has like a pool or walk-out basement, among other things. We spend time making sure that your costs are clear before we get started.
When possible, we offer solutions at different price levels and can sometimes stage your treatment out over time so that you can spread out your out of pocket costs. It’s our goal that whether your new smile is a small or large project that you feel like you got what you paid for and that it was money well spent.
How Long Will My New Smile Last?
Our goal is always to make your dental work last as long as possible. Today’s materials are durable and natural-looking, and when they’re properly cared for they can last a long time. You can always expect some amount of maintenance--It might be essential to wear a mouthguard or a retainer to protect your investment in your smile. By seeing you every six months, we’ll do our best to find any problems early on and make sure things are functioning well.
